Terms and Conditions

Updated 3 November 2026

These terms apply to your use of softrebellion.co.za and to every purchase from Sonica Lensley, trading as Soft Rebellion ("we", "us"). Our full details are on the Business Information page. By ordering you agree to these terms. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

1. Using the website

You may browse and buy for personal, lawful use. Do not misuse the site, attempt to breach its security, scrape it at scale, or use it to commit fraud. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's consent.

2. Products and descriptions

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Product photos may be mock-ups. Colours and prints can look different on different screens, and hand-finished printing on fabric can vary slightly from one tee to the next. These small variations are not defects. See the Size Guide before ordering.

3. Prices and VAT

All prices are in South African rand (ZAR). VAT status: Not VAT registered. Where we are VAT registered, prices include VAT. The delivery fee is shown separately at checkout and the full price is shown before you confirm. If a price is clearly wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

4. Placing an order and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it, and the contract is concluded, when we confirm that your payment has been received. Until then we may decline an order (for example for stock, pricing or fraud-prevention reasons). You will receive an order confirmation email and may review and correct your details before you submit. Keep the confirmation email and these terms (you can print or save this page) as your record. We keep your order record for 5 years and will give you a copy on request.

5. Payment

We currently accept direct EFT (bank transfer). Card and instant EFT through Payfast may be added later.

  • After checkout you receive our bank details ({{BANK_NAME}}, account name {{BANK_ACCOUNT_NAME}}) and your order number as the payment reference.
  • You must pay within 48 hours. We send a reminder after 24 hours. Orders unpaid after 48 hours are cancelled automatically. You are welcome to place the order again.
  • We start production only after we see the payment in our account. Bank processing delays are outside our control. Email proof of payment to [email protected] if in doubt.

6. Delivery

See our Shipping Policy. We deliver within South Africa. Dates are estimates, not guarantees, but we will do our best to meet the lead time shown and to tell you if there is a delay.

7. Returns, refunds and defects

See Refunds and Returns. That policy forms part of these terms.

8. Intellectual property

All designs, artwork, text, photographs, logos and the Soft Rebellion name and crown are owned by us or used under licence and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, print, or sell them without our written permission. Buying a tee gives you the product, not the right to reproduce the artwork. If you think content on this site infringes your rights, email [email protected] and we will look into it promptly.

9. Privacy and cookies

We process personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, and without limiting your rights under the CPA, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example courier failures, load shedding, internet outages or force majeure). Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the price you paid for the goods concerned. Nothing excludes liability for gross negligence, fraud, or anything the law does not allow us to exclude, including liability for harm caused by unsafe goods.

We try to keep the site available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We are not responsible for third-party sites we link to.

12. Governing law and disputes

South African law governs these terms. If you have a complaint, please email [email protected] first, and we will respond promptly. If we cannot resolve it, you may approach the National Consumer Commission, the relevant provincial consumer protection authority or an accredited consumer goods ombud or alternative dispute resolution agent, or the South African courts. You consent to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, including the magistrates' court where it has jurisdiction over you.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
